Riding: improving lightness and balance in the saddle

Riding horseback can become a scintillating dance when you are in complete harmony and balance with your horse.

To reach that point, you have gone through a very extensive preliminary process to ensure that your horse is both mentally and physically prepared for her task. After all of the preparation of groundwork, lunging and work in hand, you can use both the aids as the feeling while riding.

For beautiful harmony, not only is the horse important, but of course the horseback rider also! The rider must have a good, independent sitting position, and the horse must be at ease. It is very important that every rider finds his of her own balance.

Search together for the good use of your body, and learn to follow the movement of your horse via your hips. This is crucial, and that's why we pay a lot of attention to this in our training. We look primarily at the overall picture, seeing if both rider and horse can relax and flow in their movements.

You, your horse and you as the rider, will be forming a harmonious whole, once you and your horse have found each other as a flowing combination.

We would love to give you an introduction of the riding part of our home study course:

Do you want to ride with more harmony, softness, and understanding? Would you love to feel what it’s like when you are really working together with your horse, not because of pressure, but because of a pure connection? Have a look at our home study, where we take you through our Training Method. We believe that every combination can achieve this magical feeling!
